In June 2001, ipsh! Founder Nihal Mehta wrote an internal memo known as instant power, single handed and convinced media executives in San Francisco to leverage the technology for a new counter-culture purpose, to announce secret events.
The instant power, single-handed service allowed event managers to selectively summon individuals based upon their preferences, location, and area code, to attend events that occurred after the official closing of traditional establishments such as concert halls, bars, and nightclubs.
Instant power single-handed became a cult service or later known as ipsh! No one knows how to pronounce the firm which adds to its mystique and abstract element. Pronunciation aside, the firm is on the tip of the tongue of every innovative brand manager from Madison Avenue to Hollywood Boulevard. |
